Background | CD370 is a member of the C-type lectin receptor family and is selectively expressed on subsets of myeloid cells, such as plasmacytoid dendritic cells and CD8⁺ myeloid dendritic cells. It is a type II transmembrane protein with a C-type lectin domain that recognizes F-actin, an antigen exposed in necrotic cells. CD370 recruits Syk kinase upon ligation, mediating cross-presentation of necrotic cell-associated antigens and promoting immune responses. Additionally, CD370 is significant in the fields of immunology, cancer biology, and innate immunity. |
